Alberta PNP draw records minimum CRS cut off score of 300
The Canadian province of Alberta has made the details of the May 27 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw available.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) distributed 148 invitations among candidates who might qualify for a provincial nomination via the Express Entry Stream in Alberta. The Alberta PNP draw recorded a CRS requirement of 300 for the second time in May.
This means that the candidates had to score a minimum of 300 if they were to be eligible for an invitation. Moreover, it was mandatory for the invited candidates to have a registered profile under the federal Express Entry system.
Conditions and Criteria:
The Express Entry system is responsible for managing the applications classified under three federal immigration streams: the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.
The AINP requires candidates to fulfill the following criteria if they want to secure a nomination.
- They have to be working in Alberta.
- They should have a work permit that authorizes their employment.
- They should have a full-time paid job in certain occupations that satisfies the provincial minimum wage and Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirements.
For now, Alberta is only giving nominations to candidates who are already present in the country. Candidates should have work experience in any eligible profession that is in line with Alberta’s diversification priorities and economic development. However, the AINP has not compiled a list of eligible occupations that can be accessed by applicants.
Instead, they have mentioned all the occupations that they are unwilling to take into consideration. The government’s high-wage and low-wage occupations in Alberta, and the professions listed in the Alberta Opportunity Stream Ineligible Occupations list will not be eligible.
