Newfoundland and Labrador Invites 100 Candidates

On October 22, 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador invited 100 candidates under NLPNP and AIP through the Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Of these invitations, 55 were for the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 45 were through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). So far in 2025, the province has invited 3,046 candidates, reflecting strong efforts to meet labor market needs and attract skilled workers to support local communities and industries.

Since February 19, 2025, all applications to the NLPNP and AIP must be submitted through the new Immigration Accelerator platform. This centralized system ensures faster processing, reduces errors, and allows the province to efficiently manage the growing number of applications.

How the EOI system works

The Enhanced EOI system helps the province identify candidates whose skills align with labor market demand. The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) reviews Expressions of Interest and issues Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in batches throughout the year.

Candidates are ranked based on factors such as work experience, education, language proficiency, and job offer. Those with profiles that match current priorities are more likely to receive an ITA.

Who Benefits From This Draw?

The draw primarily benefits skilled workers, international graduates, and other applicants who meet provincial labor market requirements. For example, candidates with experience in healthcare, technology, or trades often have a higher chance of selection. The EOI system ensures transparency and fairness by providing clear criteria for selection.

Tips For Prospective Candidates

  • Complete all documentation accurately before submitting your EOI.
  • Maintain updated contact information in the Immigration Accelerator.
  • Respond promptly if contacted by the OIM.

What’s Next for Candidates

After receiving an ITA, applicants can submit their full application for processing. This step involves document verification, employment validation, and review of language proficiency. Candidates should ensure all information is accurate to avoid delays or rejection.
