Saskatchewan Updates SINP Processing Times

Saskatchewan has released its latest updates for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) processing times for the third quarter of 2025. These updates provide applicants with clear timelines for different streams, helping international workers, students, and employers plan their immigration and recruitment strategies.

For the International Skilled Worker category, processing times have improved for several pathways: the Employment Offer stream takes 7 weeks, the Tech Talent Pathway 6 weeks, the Agriculture Talent Pathway 4 weeks, and the Health Talent Pathway 5 weeks. Meanwhile, the Saskatchewan Experience category shows 9 weeks for Existing Work Permit holders and 6 weeks for International Students.

Second Review Requests and Job Approval Process

SINP also updated processing times for second review requests. Applicants with job offers can expect their files to be reviewed in approximately 3 weeks, while those without job offers may wait around 16 weeks.

The Job Approval Process, which allows employers to hire foreign workers, is also updated. Job Approval Forms for Health, Agriculture, and Skilled Trades positions take 4 weeks, while other sectors average 9 weeks. Importantly, certain sectors like Accommodations, Food Services, Retail Trade, and Trucking have reached the 25 per cent cap for 2025. JAFs for these sectors will only be processed if additional positions are required.

What This Means for Applicants

Processing times are calculated based on 80 per cent of applications finalized in a given quarter. Outliers, the fastest and slowest 10 per cent, are excluded to give a realistic view of timelines. These times measure how long it takes from application submission to decision, which can include nomination, ineligibility, or return for additional documents.

Saskatchewan aims to process all International Skilled Worker and Saskatchewan Experience applications within 16 weeks, provided applicants submit complete information and supporting documents. This update reflects the province’s commitment to efficiency while prioritizing critical workforce sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and skilled trades.

The updated SINP processing times give applicants a clearer picture of what to expect for 2025. Whether you are a skilled worker, international student, or an employer seeking foreign talent, these timelines help plan for smoother immigration and hiring processes. Saskatchewan continues to focus on priority sectors to meet workforce demands and ensure the SINP supports Canada immigration efficiently and effectively.
