Canada PNP Draw

The last draws of the year have already begun in Canadian provinces. 2020 has not been a smooth ride by any means, but Canada hopes to make up for its losses next year. Saskatchewan has been active this year in inviting eligible candidates who can apply for a provincial nomination.

What is SINP?

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) browses the Express Entry pool to pick candidates with the maximum potential to become successful in the provincial labor market. The EOI system helps to rank the applicants through their professional experience, language skills, educational requirements, age, and provincial connections.

Saskatchewan wants candidates who are committed to having a life in the province and gaining professional success. The International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid is the tool used by SINP to determine if a candidate is eligible.

Recent draw

On December 1, SINP issued invitations to candidates belonging to the International Skilled Worker category. The draw invited 564 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. Two subcategories, in particular, were targeted by SINP for the draw.

Candidates in the Occupations In-Demand subcategory received 426 invitations, while Express Entry candidates got 138 invitations. The aim of this program is to target candidates who have experience in occupations that are experiencing labor deficiencies.

Eligibility requirements

The province chose candidates who have work experience in any of the 86 specified professions. All the selected candidates had already registered their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles under the SINP. The EOI score requirement was the same across all the categories and subcategories. The candidates needed a score of 74 to receive an invitation. The province also placed importance on Educational Credential Assessments.
