Once the employer submits the application and receives a positive or neutral labour market decision, the worker will receive two key documents. These include the Québec Acceptance Certificate attestation letter and confirmation from federal and provincial authorities. These documents are required to apply for a work permit through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Without them, the process cannot move forward.
Immigration Representatives Are Optional
Québec does not require foreign workers to hire immigration representatives. Using a consultant does not provide faster processing or priority treatment. Applicants who choose representation should ensure their representative is authorized.
