New Brunswick Issues 145 Invitations

New Brunswick issued 145 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across three NBPNP draws held on November 16 and December 9, 2025, marking continued targeted selection under its expression of interest system. The draws covered multiple immigration streams and focused on candidates with employment ties to the province, including francophone applicants and workers already contributing to New Brunswick’s labour market.

The results were officially published on December 18, 2025, confirming invitations issued through the NB skilled worker, New Brunswick experience stream, NB skilled worker, New Brunswick graduates stream, and the NB express entry, employment in New Brunswick Stream. With these draws, New Brunswick’s total invitations for 2025 reached 3,734 candidates.

How New Brunswick’s EOI system works

Immigration New Brunswick manages applications through an expression of interest system designed to control intake and align selections with provincial labour needs. Candidates must first submit an EOI through the INB portal before receiving an invitation to apply.

Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection. Invitations are issued based on labour shortages, allocation limits, and strategic priorities determined by the provincial government. Even after receiving an ITA, applicants must submit a complete application and pass all eligibility checks to receive a nomination.

Breakdown of the November and December draws

The first draw took place on November 16, 2025, under the New Brunswick Express Entry Employment in New Brunswick Stream. This round issued 35 invitations to candidates from all occupational sectors, reflecting broad labour needs at that time.

On December 9, 2025, New Brunswick conducted two additional draws. The Express Entry employment in New Brunswick Stream issued 8 invitations, targeting francophone applicants across all sectors. On the same day, the skilled worker stream issued 102 invitations under both the New Brunswick experience and New Brunswick graduates pathways, again focusing on francophone candidates.

Applications submitted as a result of the December draws will be processed in 2026, allowing the province to manage its intake across allocation years.

Focus on Francophone Immigration

A notable feature of the December draws was the strong emphasis on francophone applicants. New Brunswick continues to prioritize French-speaking immigration to support linguistic diversity, strengthen rural communities, and meet workforce needs in sectors where bilingual skills are essential.

This approach aligns with broader provincial goals to increase the Francophone population while supporting economic development outside major urban centers.

What this Means for Candidates

Candidates with New Brunswick work experience, local education credentials, or French-language skills remain well-positioned under the NBPNP. Those who were not invited are encouraged to review their EOI profiles, ensure accuracy, and monitor future draw announcements.

As allocation limits tighten nationally, New Brunswick’s targeted draws highlight the importance of provincial ties and language ability in securing nominations. With nearly 4,000 invitations issued in 2025, New Brunswick is expected to continue focused selections in 2026. Applicants who align with provincial priorities and maintain updated profiles will have the strongest chances as new rounds are announced.
