Manitoba distributes 181 invitations among immigration candidates during latest Expression of Interest draw

In a recent draw organized by the province of Manitoba, invitations were given to international student graduates, Express Entry candidates, and skilled workers, allowing them to apply for a provincial nomination.

The 82nd Manitoba Expression of Interest was held on 30th January and issued invitations to candidates who are looking to secure a provincial nomination that would help them on their path to permanent residence. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program issued a sum total of 181 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) and distributed them amongst immigration candidates belonging to the following streams:

• Skilled Workers Overseas: 39
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 124
• International Education Stream: 18

11 out of the 181 LAAs that were issued during this draw were given to candidates who already had an existing and valid Express Entry profile. Express Entry has quickly become the best immigration option for economic class immigrants who want to obtain permanent residence in the country. The candidates who want to become a part of the Express Entry system have to submit their profiles and get evaluated on the basis of the Comprehensive Ranking System. The score takes human capital factors like age, education, work experience, and official language fluency into account when calculating. The candidates who get the highest scores are then extended invitations allowing them to submit their applications for permanent residence in usual Express Entry draws. Express Entry candidates who are able to secure Provincial nomination will have an additional 600 points added to their overall CRS score.

Express Entry candidates who want a shot at getting a provincial nomination from Manitoba should be able to provide proof of eligible work experience in any one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations. They also have to hand over a separate Expression of Interest to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
