Across the province, colleges and universities are dealing with shrinking revenues caused by several trends happening simultaneously: a sharp reduction in international study permits, rising operating costs due to global inflation, and lower domestic enrolment. To address these challenges, B.C.’s Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills has commissioned a comprehensive review to guide sector-wide improvements. The final recommendations are due by March 15, 2026.
