British Columbia issues invitations to 74 immigration candidates

The province of British Columbia has done an excellent job of organizing draws even amidst the pandemic. During a new Tech Pilot draw held on September 22, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued invitations to candidates belonging to the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories.

Details of the draw

The province distributed invitations among 74 immigration candidates during the Tech Pilot draw. The successful candidates will now be able to submit their applications for provincial nomination. If they win a nomination, they will largely benefit when they carry on their journey towards permanent residence.

The candidates chosen by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) in the Tech Pilot draw belonged to the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories. They were a part of the International Graduate and Skilled Worker subcategories.

The candidates required a provincial score of 80. This is in accordance with the trend in Tech Pilot draws being held since the beginning of May.

Why the BC PNP?

The BC PNP Tech Pilot offers a fast-track immigration pathway for international students and in-demand tech workers. This pilot project came into existence in 2017 and has been extended over and over again. If you want to be eligible for this program, you must register in one of the province’s existing provincial immigration streams. Moreover, you should have a valid job offer valid for 12 months at the very least in any of the 29 eligible occupations under the Tech Pilot.

If you are planning to apply for the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories, you should make a profile via the BC PNP’s online portal. You can complete your registration under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Applicants are assessed and assigned a score.
