Alberta PNP Targets 61 Candidates

Alberta wrapped up the month of July with the final rounds of invitations under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). In its latest Alberta PNP draw updates, the province announced the results of two targeted draws. On July 17, 2025, Alberta invited 22 candidates through the Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway, requiring a minimum score of just 69. A week later, on July 25, another draw focused on priority sectors brought 39 construction professionals closer to permanent residency. In total, Alberta has extended invitations to 2,073 candidates through its AAIP streams so far in 2025, reflecting its continued commitment to attracting top talent in key sectors.

Latest Alberta PNP Draw Details

This July draw was specifically aimed at candidates with primary occupations in construction-related roles. Candidates were selected based on their valid Express Entry profiles, Alberta job offers in eligible occupations, and a minimum cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 66—one of the lowest cut-offs seen this year.

Alberta’s 2025 PNP Strategy: Priority Sectors Take Center Stage

This draw is part of Alberta’s wider plan for 2025, where the province is focusing on key industries through its Express Entry-linked streams. These priority sectors include:

  • Construction
  • Agriculture
  • Aviation
  • Healthcare

By doing so, Alberta aims to better align its immigration system with real-time labour demands across the province. The AAIP’s focus on sector-specific invitations has become a key attraction point for skilled foreign nationals, particularly those looking for faster PR pathways through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Alberta PNP Invitations: What’s Left for 2025?

As of August 1, 2025, Alberta has issued 3,134 nominations from its total allocation of 4,875 for the year. Here’s a quick snapshot of the current numbers under the Alberta Express Entry – Priority Sectors stream:

What This Means for Construction Professionals in 2025

If you’re working in construction and have been exploring ways to immigrate to Canada, the Alberta PNP for construction workers could be your golden opportunity. Alberta’s low CRS cut-off and sector-specific draws suggest a high demand that could benefit applicants who otherwise may not score high enough for a federal ITA.

Benefits include:

  • A lower CRS threshold to qualify
  • Access to a fast-tracked provincial nomination
  • Increased chance of receiving PR through IRCC
  • Opportunities to live and work in a high-demand, high-growth province

If you have experience in eligible roles like carpentry, masonry, heavy equipment operation, or project supervision, Alberta is actively seeking your skills.

Alberta PNP for Construction Workers Is a Game-Changer

The latest draw under the Alberta PNP for construction workers proves the province is not just filling labour shortages—it’s inviting skilled professionals to become permanent contributors to its economy. If you’re qualified and ready, this could be the moment to act. Alberta’s doors are open—especially if you’re bringing the right tools to build your future in Canada.
