Manitoba invites 193 skilled worker candidates in the latest draw
The Canadian province, Manitoba has given out 193 immigration invitations to candidates who are willing to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. The invitations were given out to candidates who fall under one of the following sub-categories: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, or International Education Stream of Manitoba. The candidates aiming for Canadian PR will take this opportunity to present their application.
Manitoba so far in 2019, has issued 6,574 Letters of Advice to Apply for Canada PR to eligible candidates under the three sub-categories.
Express Entry
The candidates under the Express Entry pool are ranked according to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The candidates with the highest CRS score are then invited through draws conducted by the IRCC through the regularly held draws. The receivers of the provincial nomination also get 600 additional CRS points and are sure to receive the IRCC invitation to apply.
The provincial nomination demands that the candidates under the Express Entry must possess work experience in top demand occupations, and submit with Manitoba provincial nomination program (MPNP) a separate Expression of Interest (EOI).
Out of 193 Letters, 24 Letters were issued to candidates who had a valid profile in the federal system of Express Entry.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Of these 193 Letters, 147 were issued under Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream. This stream provides a Canada PR pathway to temporary foreign workers and international students working in the province of Manitoba.
To be eligible under this stream, the candidate must have a full-time permanent offer of employment from an employer in Manitoba and not just that, but he/she has to submit an EOI with MPNP to qualify. Eligible candidates are then awarded points out of a total of 1,000 points. Highest scoring candidates then receive invitations to apply for a provincial nomination.
The lowest-scoring candidate invited under this stream in the October 10 draw had a score of 567.
Skilled Workers Overseas
The candidates belonging to Skilled Worker Overseas received 22 LAAs out of 194. The candidates selected were directly invited to the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The lowest-ranked candidate in this draw had a CRS score of 718.
International Education System
Candidates who have completed their education from Manitoba are eligible to apply under the International Education Stream. This stream has three categories:
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- Career Employment Pathway
- Student Entrepreneur Pathway
The stream has been issued a total of 24 LAAS in the latest draw.
