Saskatchewan holds third Express Entry, Occupation In-Demand draw in 3 weeks
The Saskatchewan province of Canada is in a full swing to welcome immigrants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. The province held its third invitation round on October 8 and invited 559 Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates to apply.
After expanding its list of occupations that are eligible under its Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has been giving out invitations to prospective candidates every week.
Since it expanded the list, the SINP has issued around 1,938 invitations through both sub-categories over three invitation rounds.
All three draws have targeted candidates with work experience in a wide range of occupations. The decision to drop the SINP’s In-Demand Occupation list in favor of an Excluded Occupation List witness the number of eligible professions to go from 19 to 218.
Under both the sub-categories at least 1 year of work experience in an eligible occupation related to one’s field is required, among other criteria. However, neither a job offer in Saskatchewan nor a Canadian work experience is required.
