Canada Express Entry draw and immigration program

Canada needs immigrants, as much as immigrants need Canada. Million of jobs are expected to go unfilled by 2021 across Canada. To radically boost the immigration numbers, Canada is taking out draws and welcoming a flood of immigrants to fill the position with the right people.

Canada conducted its second Express Entry draw in eight days. In the August 20 draw, 36,00 candidates received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with the minimum CRS score of 457. The cut-off score for the draw that was held on August 12 was 466, which means the CRS score dropped by 9 points as the Canad Immigration authorities conducted their second Express Entry draw. This rare Tuesday draw was a delight for many immigration aspirants as it saw the lowest minimum CRS score requirement since May 1, 2019.

To be eligible to enter the Express Entry pool, the candidates are required to meet the eligibility requirements for one of Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic-class immigration categories- the Federal Skilled Trade Class, Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Worker Class.
